Day 006 of 147 Learning Watercolor: Dry Time

Short post today.

Today’s practice was similar to grapes.

Yellow base and tint of orange. The right yellow layer was already dried when I applied the orange so it is unable to spread naturally.

I had to start over; the most difficult task was water control —see pigment runs everywhere when it’s too wet, and the second most difficult task was to show the shape of something without drawing outlines.

I’m just lazy so I didn’t draw outlines.

Here’s a re-try.

Better but still bleeding everywhere.
